Massive Number of People Are in Acute Need of WASH Interventions

Khayran Al Muharraq district in Hajjah Governorate and Al Qafr district in Ibb Governorate are both considered as the most affected areas where a massive number of IDPs and affected host communities are found. They are classified as IPC phase 4 and 5, with the highest displacement ratio.

Khayran Al Muharraq is one among the 122 WASH cluster focus districts and among the 193 food insecure districts while Al Qafr is one among the 230 health cluster focus districts and among the 122 WASH cluster focus districts.

Therefore, RDP has conducted a comprehensive WASH Needs Assessment through 15 sub-districts of Al-Qafr district and 5 sub-district of Khayran Al Muharraq district to measure the humanitarian situation and vulnerability levels, planning and prioritizing the needs and adopting the appropriate and suitable methodology of intervention in the districts.
