Displacement Need Not Be a Life Torture

Considering the dire situation in Yemen, where millions of people require a huge food aid to avert famine specifically those in rural reaches who are severely food insecure and have almost nothing to put on the table to feed their children, RDP received a generous contribution from Sign of Hope e.V to support crisis-affected and most in need IDPs facing unimaginable suffering in Bajil district of A-Hudaydah governorate.

The emergency food security and livelihood project aims to improve the food security and livelihoods of (90) internally displaced households of 630 individuals disaggregated (113 men, 114 women, 201 boys and 202 girls) in Bajil district through providing emergency food assistance, vocational trainings and In-Kind business startup grants.

In June, 2021, RDP launched the first distribution round of food vouchers to a total number of 630 individuals (90 HHs) of crisis-affected IDPs within the emergency food security and livelihood project in Bajil district of A-Hudaydah governorate. Each household received 50 Kgs of wheat flour, 20 Kgs of rice, 10 Kgs of red beans, 8 liters of vegetable oil, 2.5 Kgs of sugar, and 0.5 Kg of salt after the prolonged suffering of food insecurity in that area.
