Life-saving response in Health for the most vulnerable host communities and IDPs in hard to reach areas at Damt, As Sawadiyah and Nati’ districts of Al Dhale’e and Al Bayda Governates, Pillar 3

Objective:

To reduce the vulnerability of women, men, children, elderly, persons with disability, IDPs and other vulnerable groups in Damt, As Sawadiyah and Nati’ districts of  Al Dhale’e and Al Bayda Governorates through provision of lifesaving, preventative and enhanced quality Health services by restoring the functionality and sustainability of services at 8 health facilities to provide the Minimum Service Package for 33,443 individuals in the targeted districts.

Major project activities:

  1. Project’s induction workshops with stakeholders.
  2. Tendering process for rehabilitation, medicines, and medical equipment.
  3. Rehabilitation activities and installation of solar systems for the 8 HFs.
  4. 47,832 BNFs reached with medical consultations.
  5. Support 8 HFs with free medications and medical supplies.
  6. Essential furniture and medical equipment delivered to the 8 HFs.
  7. Provision of operational running cost materials
  8. A number of 42 BNFs with complicated cases referred to higher level of healthcare.
  9. A number of 1,307 children provided with Penta/DPT and Measles vaccinations.
  10. A number of 2,099 women received RH services.
  11. A number of 167 women supported with delivery kits.
  12. A number of 12,864 BNFs benefited from awareness sessions in health messages.
  13. A number of 100 HWs and non-HWs supported with hazard allowances.
  14. A number of 1,134 BNFs benefited from PSS.
  15. A number of 500 PwSNs received physical rehabilitation services.
  16. 1 PSMs conducted reporting 93% satisfaction among targeted BNFs.
  17. 3 human interest stories produced and published.
  18. Handing over remaining medicines and medical supplies to HFs as part of exit strategy.
