women’s empowerment by a microfinance sewing program
In Rada’a district, displaced families headed by women are challenged by the need to support themselves and their children, especially at a time of ongoing conflicts. As a result, RDP, in partnership with Sign of Hope e.V, focused on women’s empowerment in a microfinance sewing program by conducting a ten-day sewing training for 10 female participants and providing them with sewing machines to help them gain a means of income and to overcome living obstacles. This activity was part of the second phase of emergency food assistance project, taking place in Rada’a district of Al Bayda governorate.
