Protecting Education, One Meal at a Time: RDP’s Lifeline for Vulnerable Families
As part of the Integrated Emergency Aid Project to Promote Food Security, Livelihoods, and Education for Children and Their Families in Bajil District, Al Hudaydah Governorate, funded by Sign of Hope (SOH) and implemented by the Relief and Development Peer Foundation (RDP), RDP has successfully completed the fourth distribution cycle of the school meal assistance activity at Al-Ashraf Dahnah School. A total of 552 students and 18 teachers benefited from this initiative.
The school meal is more than a nutritional intervention; it is a message of hope that helps strengthen students’ learning, encourages them to continue their education, and eases the burden on the most vulnerable families striving to meet their children’s essential needs. This initiative also plays a vital role in protecting children’s futures by helping reduce school dropout rates and promoting educational stability.
Seeing children continue their learning with greater energy and brighter smiles is what drives us to keep working and reaching those most in need.
