Life-saving WASH Emergency Response Project to the Most Vulnerable host Communities and Returnees in Al Qafr District of Ibb Governorate
Objective:
The project aims to improve the resilience of the most vulnerable host communities and returnees’ families in Al-Qafr district of Ibb governorate through increasing their access to safe and sustained water and sanitation services and improving hygiene practices.

Major project activities:
- Conduct community engagement meeting
- Conducted protection mainstreaming training for the project staff RDP
- Conducted a pumping test, and a water quality test
- Conducted a feasibility study
- Conducted the 1st EIA
- Held an induction workshop for the project team
- Conducted Baseline survey.
- Announced two tenders for rehabilitation of water scheme/source and install solar pumping system.
- Established CFM.
- Rehabilitating one water scheme, and one water source based on the technical feasibility study.
- Installing pumping and distribution pipelines and installing water distribution boxes with water meters. Also, rehabilitation of a pumping room.
- Rehabilitation of concrete water tank.
- Supply and install solar pumping system.
- Supply maintenance tools kit to facilitate the project maintenance, operation and pipeline extension to new areas to ensure the sustainability of the water scheme.
