Integrated multi-sectoral action (health, nutrition, MPCA, WASH and protection) to address immediate needs of crisis-affected populations in Hajjah

Objective:

Improved access to life-saving quality primary health, nutrition, cash, WASH, and protection services through integrated multi-sectoral intervention. In collaboration with SCI,  RDP focuses on nutrition and WASH activities, while SCI integrates health, multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA), and protection services to deliver a comprehensive response to the most vulnerable children and their families exposed to conflict and displacement in Hajjah.

Major project activities:

1. Selected and trained 48 new CHNVs

2. Establish RDP CFM and YHF BCFM.

3. Conducted malnutrition screening for 40,004 children under five and 9,948 pregnant/lactating women by CHNVs

4. Conducted awareness sessions for targeted communities on integrated health, nutrition and WASH messages reaching (117,845) beneficiaries.

5. Delivered IYCF demonstrations in 30 HFs

6. Conducted baseline survey.

7. Conduct 23 cleaning campaigns across five districts in Hajjah governorate, this cleaning campaigns benefited (52,937) individuals

8. Conducted registration and verification for 400 HHs for the distribution of basic hygiene kits.

9. Distributed 400 BHKs, which include 500 L PVC water tanks.

10. Trained 30 female trainees in the Three-Star Approach for local soap manufacturing.
