Emergency Lifesaving Food Security and Livelihood Assistance for the most affected and vulnerable IDPs and host communities in Abs district of Hajjah Governorate

Objective:

Improve food security through provision of immediate life-saving response to worsening malnutrition, and food insecurity through emergency food assistance, cash/voucher, and emergency livelihoods assistance through provision of livestock kits, along with cash+ to the most vulnerable and flood-affected IDPs and host communities in Abs district. RDP  targeting 630 HH IDPs in 7 IDPs sites (3,813 individuals) with UCT and 300 HH of host community (2,100 individual) with livelihoods intervention.

Major project activities:

– Conduct baseline and endline surveys

– Establish FMCs with 40% rep. of women

– Conduct registration and verification of beneficiaries

– Contract with the best financial service provider (FSP).

– Form distribution teams with rep. of 40% of women

– Unconditional cash/value voucher assistance to 630 HHs for 6 consecutive rounds.

– Distribute livestock kits to 300 HHs, in addition to distribute cash plus for the same 300 HHs.

– Conduct PDM surveys

– Establish RDP CFM and YHF BCFM.
