RDP and Partners Sustain Cleanliness Campaigns in Hajjah, Reaching Over 52,000 People with ECHO Support

Relief and Development Peer Foundation(RDP), in cooperation with the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, in partnership with Save the Children International (SCI), and funded by the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) 🤝✨️

Continues to implement comprehensive cleanliness campaigns for the third consecutive month in five districts of Hajjah Governorate: Mustaba, Abs, Bani Qais, Ash-Shaghadeera, and Kuhlan Afar. This project aims to address the environmental and health challenges caused by the accumulation of solid waste, particularly near health facilities, markets, and populated areas, to protect community health and support environmental sustainability 🧹🌿

The campaign targeted the most affected areas by waste buildup, with a special focus around vital health facilities and busy markets, where waste poses a direct threat to public health. Additionally, the foundation provided operational support to the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the targeted districts, enhancing the efficiency of waste collection and safe disposal operations, and contributing to a safer environment for residents 🤍👥️

A total of 52,937 individuals have benefited from the cleanliness campaigns, which have helped reduce rates of environment-related diseases and improve the quality of life for local communities.
