RDP Continues Delivering Critical Cash Assistance in Abs District, Hajjah Governorate to the Most Vulnerable
In the face of a tragic and escalating humanitarian crisis in Abs District, marked by acute food shortages, declining of humanitarian assistance, and widespread suffering, Relief and Development Peers Foundation (RDP) remains committed in its mission to uplift the most vulnerable. As internally displaced persons and host communities grapple with rising malnutrition and dire living conditions, RDP has successfully carried out the 5th round of unconditional cash transfers, reaching 630 households in desperate need.
This vital initiative falls under the “Emergency Response for Food Security and Livelihoods” project, generously supported by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) under the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA). RDP extends heartfelt gratitude to our donors and partners, whose unwavering commitment enables us to deliver life-sustaining assistance where it’s needed most.
In close coordination with local authorities in Hajjah Governorate, the distribution process was meticulously organized, earning praises for its transparency, efficiency, and focus on equitable delivery. Officials on-site highlighted how such efforts not only provide immediate relief but also foster community resilience in these trying times.
At RDP, we view humanitarian assistance as more than a duty, it’s a profound pledge to safeguard human dignity and empower families to navigate overwhelming hardships. By continuing these distributions, we’re igniting sparks of hope.
Yet, while this round of assistance provides essential assistance for the most vulnerable, there are many uncovered families with the assistance. These families remain in dire, urgent need of support, but funding shortages limit our reach, leaving many without the help they desperately require assistance.
