Emergency life-saving health response for vulnerable populations in underserved and priority areas at Rahabah and Mahliyah districts of Marib Governorate.

 

Objective:

To reduce the vulnerability and outbreak spread among women, men, children, elderly, persons with disability, IDPs and other vulnerable groups in Rahabah and Mahliyah districts of Marib Governorate through provision of lifesaving, preventative and enhanced quality Health services including 24 hours BeMONC interventions by restoring the functionality and sustainability of services at 4 health facilities to provide the Minimum Service Package for individuals in the targeted districts.

Major project activities:

  1. Conducted kick-off meeting for the project team.
  2. Conducted stakeholder’s introductory workshop.
  3. Tendering process for rehabilitation, medicines, and medical equipment.
  4. Rehabilitation and installation of solar systems for the 4 HFs.
  5. 22,827 BNFs reached with medical consultations communicable and non-communicable diseases.
  6. 4 HFs support with free medications and medical supplies.
  7. Essential furniture and medical equipment delivered to the 4 HFs.
  8. Provision of operational running cost materials for 4 HFs
  9. 456 children provided with Penta/DPT vaccinations.
  10. 120 children provided with Measles vaccinations
  11. 1,240 women received reproductive health
  12. 96 women supported with dignity kits
  13. 2,758 BNFs benefited from awareness sessions in health messages.
  14. 74 HWs and non-HWs supported with hazard allowances.
  15. 2 PSMs conducted reporting 97% satisfaction among targeted BNFs.
  16. 2 human interest stories produced.
  17. Handing over remaining medicines and medical supplies to HFs as part of exit strategy
