Lessening Acute Malnutrition Through Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program

RDP, by the generous support of WFP, continues to distribute nutritional supplements to a number of 133,610 children under 2 and 144,053 PLW to prevent the chronic and acute malnutrition in 16 targeted districts (Far Al Udayn, Al Udayn, Hazm Al Udayn, Mudhaykhirah, Al Qafr, Sama, As Silw, Shara’b Ar Rawnah, Shara’b As Salam, Jabal Ash Sharaq, Dawran Aness, Wusab Al Ali, Wusab As Safil, Khayran Al Muharraq, Mustaba, and Washhah) of Ibb, Taizz, Dhamar and Hajjah governorates. RDP also has conducted 9,609 awareness-raising sessions to promote appropriate feeding for infants and young children which help increase their chances of survival as well as optimal growth, reaching almost 153,145 of population.
